Gabriel and I are from Niteroi where we started training jiu jiutsu together with the same team. Soon, Gabriel started to train jiu jitsu in Rio de Janeiro at Carlson Gracie’s academy. A year later, I told him that I wanted to train in Rio but wasn’t sure which academy to go to. Gabriel soon invited me and set up a time so that he could take me to train at the Carlson Gracie Academy. When I arrived there, he introduced me to a few people and I was really surprised to see so many champions on the same mat training at 11 AM. Years later, we transferred to Brazilian Top Team where we won countless medals, including closing the Purple Belt Absolute Division in the Rio de Janeiro State tournament. Today, I’m working in the United Arab Emirates and Gabriel in the United States. All of our effort and dedication to jiu jitsu has borne many fruits, thank God! Osssss
